About this condition
Telogen effluvium is temporary, diffuse hair loss where many follicles enter the resting (telogen) phase simultaneously, then shed 2-3 months later. Common triggers include surgery, severe illness, COVID-19, childbirth, rapid weight loss, and emotional stress. Usually resolves within 6-12 months without transplantation.
