Female pattern hair loss is diffuse (thinning all over the top, especially along the parting), not patterned like men's. The donor area at the back may also be thinning — making transplant trickier. Hormonal factors (menopause, PCOS, postpartum) play a bigger role, so hormonal evaluation is part of any serious female hair-loss workup.
