Mostly no. Finasteride can slow or stop further recession in 80–90% of men. Topical minoxidil shows modest regrowth in early stages. Once a hairline has visibly receded for 2+ years, hair transplant is the only reliable way to restore it.
The surgeon considers face shape, age, donor capacity, and natural hair direction.
